Shipping & Returns


Purchases of in-stock products are shipped within the week. For items that are on backorder, special orders or custom orders we will provide an estimated ship date. Lead times and ship dates are estimates and may vary due to production and/or transit delays. Valley Variety cannot be held responsible for delays due to manufacturing or shipping. We will advise you as we are notified of any delays. Please contact us regarding lead times and shipping updates at shop{at}valleyvariety{dot}com.

Freight shipping includes only standard curbside delivery and does not include “white glove” service, inside delivery, or furniture assembly. If you would like us to arrange for inside or “white glove” delivery, please send an email to shop{at}valleyvariety{dot}com or call 518-828-0033 to request a cost estimate. On orders shipping via freight, you will be contacted in advance by the freight company to schedule a delivery window.

Valley Variety does not accept any responsibility for deliveries which are impossible or require additional expenses due to inaccessibility. If delivery is not completed within 14 days of notice of the arrival of a custom or special order, storage may be charged. 


We hope you'll be satisfied with your purchase. However, if you wish to return or exchange an item, please contact us at shop{at}valleyvariety{dot}com first for approval with reasons for your return.

Purchases, other than the exceptions listed below, can be returned for a store credit for up to 14 days from the date your item was delivered to you. However, the shipping charges are final and will be deducted from the amount of the store credit. 

The following types of purchases are final and can not be returned or exchanged:

  • Special or custom orders
  • Floor samples
  • Discounted and discontinued sale items
  • Gift Cards

To be eligible for a credit, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Any returned item that shows usage or altered will not be accepted for a credit.


We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. Exchanges will be based on stock availability at the time of return. If we do not have the item in stock and are unable to order a replacement, we will issue a refund.


If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will provide a store credit  to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. We cannot be responsible if the returned package is lost or damaged during transit. You will need to contact the shipping service to file a claim. We suggest you consider using a trackable shipping service with delivery confirmation or purchasing insurance. 

Damaged Items

When receiving orders that have been shipped to you from us or directly from the manufacturer please inspect the shipment immediately. If there is a problem with your shipment in the form of damages or an incorrect item you have two (2) days to report it to us by email at shop{at}valleyvariety{dot}com, or by calling us at 518-828-0033. Please provide pictures and a written explanation. DO NOT throw away the original packaging materials. Whenever you receive any damaged, defective or incorrect items we will work diligently to correct the problem.
