Torii Chair

 Torii is a simple yet sophisticated Bensen design available as either as a chair, a counter or bar height stool. The chair is defined by its minimal appearance, simple yet traditional construction and a remarkable amount of comfort and sturdiness.

The name Torii offers a connection to the wooden entry arches of Japanese Shinto shrines and translates as “bird perch,” perfectly describing the stool’s distinct proportions, traditional joinery and the sense of harmony inherent in design that is beautifully and fully resolved.

Available in Walnut, White Oak, and Black Stained Ash. The finish is a low build water-based polyurethane that gives the wood a smooth, natural open-grain appearance. 

Upholstered seats are available in a wide range of fabric and leather. For leathers, other than House Leathers, the price is based on a minimum order of 4 chairs. The Black Stained Ash dining chair is also available with a plywood seat.
