Graf Lantz's tagline for the Bierfilzl (German for Beer Felt) coasters is “Coasters That Work”. As you likely know from experience, an all too often elusive quality when it comes to coasters. To make sure their coasters live up to this promise, these coasters are made of the highest quality German merino wool felt.
Why wool? It happens to be the most hydrophilic of all natural fibers—absorbing as much as 30% of its weight without feeling wet. As the felt absorbs moisture from the surface it follows the long, densely felted merino fibers out to the edges where it evaporates. What this means for you is surfaces remain dry and ring-free. And, without the coaster sticking to your glass or losing its looks over time.

Removing a stain:
- Wet the spot well with a mix of warm water and light detergent until saturated.
- Massage the stain lightly to break up fibers - wait 2 or 3 minutes.
- Pat – don’t rub - the area firmly with an absorbent paper towel to remove moisture.
- Repeat steps one thru three as necessary until the stain visibly lightens.
- Rinse and repeat until detergent clears.
- Pat (again, don’t rub) surface well and lay flat to dry.
