Up-cycle Your Used Candle Jar

Up-cycle Your Used Candle Jar

After your candle has provided hours of olfactory delight, it's time to make good use of the jar with this easy process.

Place your unlit, room-temperature candle in the freezer for 8-10 hours. The wax will become hard and firm and then you can remove the wax using a knife without it flaking and crumbling.

If there’s still residual wax in the jar, then place the jar in the sink and fill it to the top with boiling water. After a few hours the residue will have solidified at the top and it will be able to be removed.

Now you have a beautiful jar to use for anything — from flowers to make-up brushes; pens to Q-tips; cocktail skewers to matches (HINT: adhere the strike strip to the underside of the jar) — and enjoy for years to come.
